The Pink Moon is a psychedelic garagerock-band from Trondheim, Norway formed in 2013. The band currently consists of primary songwriter and core member Morten Kristiansen (vocals, guitar), Øyvind Holm (bass), Even Granås (drums) and Lars Gullichsen (keyboards).

Combining the raw power of early protopunk-bands like MC5 and The Stooges with the psychedelic rhythm and blues of Small Faces and The Who, they form an explosive and melodic act, drenched in the spirit of the 60s.

Since they released their self titled debut in 2014, a tantalizing cornucopia of unrelenting fuzz, tremolo and garage-psych accoutrements, they’ve been releasing albums in a steady stream and playing local garages and festivals in Norway.

“Shambolic Gestures” / “You Better Believe It”

“Shambolic” is psychedelic number bent out of shape with oozing keyboards and haunting background vocals, the guitars and bass dancing ‘round the beat whilst the singer pours his soul out.

“You Better..” is a feisty take on an old song by Lynch/Ragovoy, made famous by The Small Faces on their debut album. Are you a mod or a rocker? Most likely a mocker.....

Recorded at Bekksvingen and Dockland Studios In Trondheim Rock City by studio-whizz Organ Morgan.

Mixed by Bent Sæther (Motorpsycho) at Kommun/Svartlamon, who gave it the real 60s treatment by adding reverbs and delays where it was suited.

So there you have it, The Pink Moon – you better believe it!
